It took damn near 20 minutes of insanity, my druid died 2nd to last with the dude at a sliver or less of health. In era myself and 4 others went on to take Bone Cracker in Nobles (OOW) who was apparently a raid encounter. Those times when they are not are the best most rewarding moments in Everquest. But I implore you to try some things you may think are impossible, because sometimes they are but sometimes they are not. If you want to relegate yourself to in era group content only by all means do so. This is where I have my fun, you challenge yourself and the few you play with and you get really good loot while doing so. Way more fun than raiding it with 52 people, because god I did that hundreds of times. Coming back and 1 grouping anguish 1/2 expacs past including all the bosses up to priest is tons of fun. Perhaps they are 1 or 2 expansions past but 1 grouping anguish minis when most people are still raiding it is fun. Not even close, I am talking about heading into harder zones, for better loot.
